Perhaps, some people will said that they can call the school office but some of their parent are fear about he language problem and some of their parent doesn't know the school phone number and it also waste time I don't think beepers should be associated with drug deals and gang activities.
That's not fair because drugs and gang activities is a very big deal and will affect the student and other student but beeper won't affect other student if they set pagers on vibrating mode and teacher doesn't know. Therefore, I feel bring beeper to school is not a big problem. I think if the student is care about their education beeper can't distracted form their learning and if the student doesn't care of their education everything things can distracted they learning. I agree student can bring they beeper to school but they have to set the pagers on vibrating mode. That will make the student feel free and comfortable because they don't have to hide they beeper up.
